An Exercise in Anonymity

Step 1 Setting Up the Network

1. Swap in the Experiment

2. Log in to users.isi.deterlab.net through Putty

3. Decided which node you will be using
   1. To begin one person always needs to connect to Server1
   2. If there are multiple users this is the order they should connect to:
      1. Proxy node
      2. Alice
      3. Server2
      4. Bob
      5. TorRelay1
      6. TorRelay2
      7. TorRelay3
4. Set up apache
   1. From Server1 (and Server2 if you are connected to it) use the command: sudo /proj/DeterTest/runme.apache
   2. when prompted "Do you want to continue [Y/n]?" select Y
   3. The server is now set up!
   4. You can check this my typing w3m http://localhost/cgi-bin/ip.cgi which should display your local IP address
